You know, I sat down a week or two ago to make a secret about these guys acting like they're married, and when I was looking for a picture, the first thing I found was a FAQ on the show specifying that they are not in fact married, and the person running the page doesn't know why they get so many questions about it.

This really cracked me up! I love their pretend adversarial drama. In fact, I love all of the fake drama and tension those HGTV and similar shows try to inject into completely non-dramatic situations. "Which house will they choose??" "Will the new flooring arrive in time?!?" OMG THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME!! Meanwhile, they guys over on This Old House are all, like, "LOL, you're just compensating for the fact that you don't have Norm Abram." and then they go and do awesome shit. Yes.
