But also, wasn't the boomerang in the river where the guy was killed? How could he have been hit by it if it was near the person he killed? Idk, but don't tell me if it's a spoiler lol.

Like, the boomerang was coming back to the thrower anyway (after travelling quite a distance, considering he was a professional), but because he was distracted by the car and turned around he couldn't catch the boomerang and it hit him in the neck or sth. And maybe he was standing close to the river and when the boomerang fell down it landed in there?
