Might be best to avoid Sherlock, Avengers and Supernatural though, they're reputed to batshit (I've only been in SPN and I only saw the edges of the batshittery, but it's there).
Meanwhile you're welcome to come to The Hobbit fandom. Just be careful of the edges that cross over with Sherlock because of the shared actors (the crossover fanfics aren't bad though).
