The faking of the death thing was a little odd, but honestly, I think we all created identities back in the day. I had one, my good friend had one. We totally made up names and used them on the internet. I still don't reveal personal stuff on the internet (I'll alter my birthday or location or not put it on to begin with).

I'd let it go. Chalk it up to youthful panic or something :) If you want to admit it to people because you want to get back into that community, then do so otherwise, just move along.
