I'm so sorry. I lost one of my dogs three weeks ago, so I totally understand what you're going through. *lots of hugs*

My dog is getting old and I keep hugging her all the time, because I can.
Now I think that she thinks that I'm dying, or going on a trip, or taking her to the vets.

*hugs* My dog is 13 now, and is slowly going down hill. I'm not sure I want to put him through another winter. Especially if next winter is as harsh as this one was.

I'm so, so sorry you're having to go through this. I lost a dog last year and I still get sad about it if I think about her for too long.

I lost my baby over three years ago to cancer and I'm still not over it. Just reading your post made me tear up, actually. So I know what you and your dog are going through right now. Feel hugged.

*HUGS* I'm so sorry. One of our cats was recently put down (she had severe heart and thyroid problems and wasn't responding to medication), so I know how you feel.

My family lost our dog in February 2011, and it was very sudden and very hard. I know what you're going through, and while it's tough, you can work through this, anon! I recommend Emily Dickinson's poetry and the Galaxy Song by Monty Python ("Just remember that you're standing on a planet that's evolving, revolving at 900 miles an hour...")
