I find Sherlock a bit eyeroll-worthy and stilted as a character. The show's universe revolves around him and he is right in 99% of cases and everyone else is ~so~ below him only because that's the picture Moffat wants to paint. I find it hardly natural and I don't think it's something that would actually work in cross-overs with the shows where the characters are well-developed and human. Only in the minds of Moffat's unquestioning fans.

Besides, I'm not a huge follower of Superwholock, but I think I've seen enough of it on my dash to say that the people who are into it want the main characters of the shows to work together or be BFFs, not antagonists. I saw a gifset just now where John asks Sherlock about the head in the fridge and Sherlock answers that it is a gift from Hannibal. which implies both knowledge on Sherlock's part and some sort of friendship. And I'm sorry, but no, Hannibal wouldn't be Sherlock's friend or even casual acquittance. The very idea is idiotic.

The thing is, it's not even about the characters or context or plausibility. It's about the HOTT SMEXY POSSIBILITIES as written by fans who are--let's face it--often total dipshits.
