F!S Anon Meme (the ??th)

Secrets, rants, opinions, anything you want to say about your fandom or a fandom or fandom in general, do it here! Anonymously, of course. Get it all off your chest.

Some ground rules:
1. Going anon is encouraged but not absolutely required (for those who struggle with recaptchas and stuff).
2. No autoplaying/autolooping embeds, or embeds that cover/stretch the screen.
3. No dropping personal info or IRL contact info, etc.

That's about it, though!

(Today's post is below.)

You killed my father - prepare to sex?

What's with fics where people sleep with someone who either killed or hated their father? Case in point, the Mohinder/Sylar shippers. Even as hatesex I never got that - how can you have sex at all with someone who killed your father? But even Harry and Draco confused me; sure, Draco never hurt James, but he made it clear he thought his death was hilarious.

Feels good to get that out.

Wanted to add that I'm not saying I think you're a bad person for shipping those - I just don't understand the appeal, but if you are a shipper I'd love to hear your perspective.

I'm just depraved, I don't really have any other excuse

I guess in the case of Draco/Harry (I don't ship it myself) though, you could argue that Draco was a teenage shithead when he said those things and could have matured over the years

Why fathers in particular? Why would it be any different than if it were a mother, spouse, sibling or a close friend?

Oh of course it wouldn't be. It's the same idea - why would you still have sex with them?

idk about those two particular ships. It kind of puzzles me too. But I can imagine circumstances in which I'd understand it: Character A was responsible for the death of Character B's loved one, but it was unintentional or legitimately unavoidable for whatever reason, and Characters A and B get to know each other (or were already involved) and eventually Character B forgives Character A.
