I've just seen one post, in which a Sherlock fan pitched the idea of "a psychopath and a high-functioning sociopath fighting crime together" (or something like that). The Hannibal fandom doesn't seem all that happy with the idea.

I can see why not. Hannibal already has someone to fight crime with, should he so desire; he hardly needs to import one. Especially not one so fundamentally incompatible, who is rude to people without even being aware of it, doesn't care what he eats, and shoots up the decor out of boredom.

. . . on the other hand, given Sherlock and the head and eyes in the refrigerator, I'm suddenly seeing a plotline where Hannibal successfully sets Sherlock up to take the fall for the Chesapeake Ripper murders, while persuading Jack Crawford as well as Will that Sherlock was trying to frame him.

It's mostly very young fans who don't understand how much others want them to stop with their obnoxious and often patronizing bullshit. We don't want you, save as a meal.

If he can make beer out of people, there's nothing he can't do with people. Every single thing he eats is suspect. Not even mint candies are safe.

I don't get why... okay, I get WHY people think Hannibal is tricking people into cannibalism, but to me the real joke is that he isn't. That isn't Hannibal's style. It's rude and Hannibal wouldn't stoop to it.
