F!S Anon Meme (the ??th)

Secrets, rants, opinions, anything you want to say about your fandom or a fandom or fandom in general, do it here! Anonymously, of course. Get it all off your chest.

Some ground rules:
1. Going anon is encouraged but not absolutely required (for those who struggle with recaptchas and stuff).
2. No autoplaying/autolooping embeds, or embeds that cover/stretch the screen.
3. No dropping personal info or IRL contact info, etc.

That's about it, though!

(Today's post is below.)

Bonus - I practically never update my DW any more. Tumblr, I post to/reblog/generally participate in a couple dozen times a day.

I really like LJ, but I definitely spend more time on tumblr and I'm way more involved in the fandoms. It's just more casual? And there's less pressure to write a perfect essay when I more looking for a conversation? and and I can just endlessly scroll looking at things :D

LJ is my go-to baby for keeping track of friends, fandom and online both...and the odd community where it works like pkmn collectors.

I don't get the tumblr hate

maybe because my tumblr fandoms are pretty small and non-wanky

+1 and another unpopular opinion

I find tumblr a lot more social and it's easier to interact with people than on LJ.

Yes, a thousand times. I think it's because things are more fluid on tumblr; there's less permanence, so it's much more like actually talking in person, where anything you say isn't stamped onto the surface of the internet for all humanity to read forevermore.

This. I'm really enjoying my time on tumblr. Before tumblr, I had all but stopped fandom interaction, but now I'm all over it again. It's fun, people are nice (in my fandom anyway) and I'm just having a great time. I just wish they had a better way to communicate. I hate their PM system. But apart from that, I really love it and I'm happy that tumblr exists!

I don't understand why people (seem to) hate tumblr, I used to not know how to use it but once a friend showed me it I loved it and am on everyday.

Is that bad? :s

I won't lie.

At first, I hated tumblr.

Then I decided to give it a try. At least learn how to work it before I declared my undying hatred for it. If I'm going to hate something, at least know what it is that I'm hating.

Now I can't stay away from it.
