I just wanted to say I agree with this but I also really, REALLY wish Supernatural had forgotten the whole arc plot and just stayed mostly Monster of the Week, unserialized episodes. I think it would be much better that way.

I think so, too. Maybe have a main plot happening in the background, loosely followed, like they first did with their missing father. But then as far as I'm concerned, every show ever needs to be like TNT's Leverage, which never let its ongoing plots take away from its episodic awesomeness.
