F!S Anon Meme (the ??th)

Secrets, rants, opinions, anything you want to say about your fandom or a fandom or fandom in general, do it here! Anonymously, of course. Get it all off your chest.

Some ground rules:
1. Going anon is encouraged but not absolutely required (for those who struggle with recaptchas and stuff).
2. No autoplaying/autolooping embeds, or embeds that cover/stretch the screen.
3. No dropping personal info or IRL contact info, etc.

That's about it, though!

(Today's post is below.)

I have never understood people who say "wrestling's fake". Seriously? Like, uh, yeah, most entertainment is fake, the fact that actors aren't actually flying in spaceships or saving the world from zombies or, gasp, beating each other with chairs and ladders, does not somehow ruin my life. Jesus.

Because it's marketed as a sport when it really isn't. Real wrestling is a sport, but things like the WWE are just staged entertainment. And the argument about the participants' level of fitness is irrelevant given that most entertainers have to maintain a certain body type to be successful.

So you want to say that the the wrestlers' level if fitness isn't relevant because most entertainers have to be fit anyway? Most actors/actress in the big movies have stunt doubles, wrestlers don't. They have to keep in shape to be able to endure all the moves and objects thrown their way.

And WWE higher-ups now-a-days now don't see themselves as a sport. They advertise themselves as "sports entertainment".

Except they are beating each other with chairs and ladders. Sure they're flimsy, but you're still being hit with it. Wrestling is not fake; it's scripted and even then, shit happens that you're not prepared for, usually in-ring injuries.

THIS! I tell that to everyone who says that to me IRL and they're like, "LOL YEAH OKAY KEEP LIVING IN THAT BUBBLE OF YOUR'S".

When they do that to me it's really annoying as now they're brushing off the facts. I was watching Royal Rumble this year and my sister invited her boyfriend over, who hates wrestling, and he just WOULD NOT SHUT-UP about it being fake and and then started talking with my dad's brother-in-law and they were like, "Oh look at the air punches". I got so mad that I yelled at them to shut-up. After that they left and went home as the brother-in-law looked at my dad to say something to me, but he wouldn't as he looked just as annoyed as I was.
