F!S Anon Meme (the ??th)

Secrets, rants, opinions, anything you want to say about your fandom or a fandom or fandom in general, do it here! Anonymously, of course. Get it all off your chest.

Some ground rules:
1. Going anon is encouraged but not absolutely required (for those who struggle with recaptchas and stuff).
2. No autoplaying/autolooping embeds, or embeds that cover/stretch the screen.
3. No dropping personal info or IRL contact info, etc.

That's about it, though!

(Today's post is below.)

He's a good guy. I don't find him funny, but so what? I don't find a lot of professional comedians funny. I haven't seen anything sexist and think it's telling that no one here can provide any examples. He's very kind to many people who post about personal problems in GC, which is more than I can say for a lot of the logged in users who respond to such threads.

It's possible that their referring to a comment Noodly made a tiny bit ago about a movie Angelina Jolie was in, and how the movie had her "unmasetomied boobs"?

I mean, I didn't find if sexist, just kind of stupid, and befitting a troll, but compared to some of the people on twitter, it was hella tame, and it didn't bug me, personally.

The fact that he's capable of being really bloody decent in GC makes his trolling all the more infuriating to me.

I'll extend this to all the trolls on F!S. Trolling is an obnoxious thing to do in a community. It kills discussion because after being burned once too often people stop participating in any threads where there could be genuine and nuanced disagreement. They get suspicious that the other party isn't arguing in good faith, and with known trolls all 'round, it's a reasonable fear. Why invest in debate with somebody when just as you're getting to the knottier points they'll start trying to get an emotional rise out of you instead of continuing what they started? (Or worse, they'll just go "LOL DICKS!!")

When users develop a rep for flashing their metaphorical asses all over public discussion space on the excuse of being "hilarious trolls", then turn around and try to participate in other parts of that space in earnest how are you meant to respond to that? Sometimes it's like having to dude you just watched pee in the phonebox come over and offer to let you use his cell.
