My confession is that I'm 25, I've been in fandom a long time, and my favorite people are the squeeing fangirls on tumblr. I want to be happy about what I like and not feel ashamed like they are.

Also 25 and while I tend to get uncomfortable when people around me squee (personally not keen on big public dismays of any emotion) - it does make me happy that they're obviously having a lot of fun!

there are people who feel like no time and place is appropriate, not even people's own blogs. you have to be a dignified fan with smart essays of why you like things or you're a dumbass.
