I have written RPS fics before, though never any self-inserts, but I would never have thought of actually following any of my idols to their houses and grocery shops...
I admit that I have read gossip magazines and interviews and used THAT as references for writing, but that's as creepy as I got!

In the fic author's defense, my friend and his band are pretty careless when it comes to protecting their privacy, they do include references to very specfic places in their lyrics...

Fortunately it doesn't seem like that person is ever going to attempt anything bad against us, but it still makes me pretty uncomfortable to know that someone out there is watching us from a close enough distance to see exactly what we buy when we're shopping for a party...
