Help

(Anonymous) 2013-05-28 02:40 am (UTC)(link)
You know when you have one of those busy days, where you don't have the luxury to stop doing stuff, and then you just literally cannot stop moving, and your brain is racing.

My head feels empty but it's going a thousand miles a minute. WTF is this guys, please help, this has never happened before. I've been doing shit nonstop since 7 AM and now it's almost 11 PM.

You're just tired, I think. It happens sometimes to me that when you've been doing a ton of different shit your mind just won't stop racing and you feel really energized, but it's very hollow and false. I expect as soon as you lay down somewhere for 5 minutes, you'll fall asleep.

Music, reading, and TV might help. I say might because they never help me. But mindlessly flipping through a magazine somehow does help me. There is something wrong with my brain I think.

This sounds a bit like a manic episode to me. Have you ever had one before?

If it's not, it might just be that you've been so busy all day that you're having trouble coming down from the stress/adrenaline of that.

Some things that might help: taking a hot bath or shower, drinking a warm non-caffeinated beverage, doing some form of meditation or relaxation breathing, doing that relaxation technique where you tense up each muscle group and release it.

*hugs*

I hope you can calm down soon.
