Isn't it more of a mole?

OP

The still I used for my secret is from The Dark Knight Rises. I just re-watched The Dark Knight, and I noticed that he had THE SAME WART. So he had the wart on his face for at least four years! If I were him, I would've picked that shit off within a week.

I thought it definitely seemed to get worse between films, or maybe I just noticed it more IDK.

It's possible he doesn't care or it might not be an easy fix. I had a horrid mole like growth (flatter than that one but bigger) removed from my jaw line five years ago and the consultant tried to put me off by saying the scar might end up being worse. It turned out to be bullshit so yeah, in my case I got that shit cut off - though it was in a different place to his so that might also be a factor.

DA

I have a wart next to my eye, a bit higher than him. I've had it for years, and frankly, it's invisible to me. Maybe it's the same for him. I guess it's better than obsessing about it (though I sometimes wonder if people who look at me focus on it or not :P).

I don't think that's a wart, but anyhow he could remove it if he wants, probably doesn't bother him.

I think it's interesting how men on film, even famously attractive ones (I noticed this with Chris Pine in fact) often have a lot of imperfections on their face, either spots, or pockmarks, or other things on their skin. Whereas these days women, especially in Hollywood, are looking more and more like porcelain, it's becoming disconcerting and hard to take some actresses seriously.

Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill.

I'll show myself out.

(Anonymous) 2013-05-29 07:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Haha! Mole...hill.

(Anonymous) 2013-05-28 11:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Just wait until you notice the one slap bang in the middle of Marion Cotillard's forehead...

(Anonymous) 2013-05-29 02:54 am (UTC)(link)
Oh god hers is the worst, I was surprised this secret wasn't about hers.

I understand, OP. I can fixate in things like that, too.

(Anonymous) 2013-05-28 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)
It's not a wart, it's more like a flesh-colored mole.

Source: I have a similar one on the outside of one of my eyes. It's annoying, but not harmful or anything.
bur: Gor! It's Anakin with a baby impaled on his lightsaber!! The horror, the horror. (GOR!)

IT'S NOT JUST ME!! WOOOOOO!!

I have mixed feelings about this issue. I'm a Supernatural fan, and Jared Padalecki has some visible moles, as does Adrianne Palicki, who played his girlfriend in the Pilot. I want to be supportive and "You go guy/girl" and all (since they obviously don't care, and it hasn't affected their careers), but there's still a shallow part of me that has the kneejerk "just cut the damn thing off" reaction...

(Anonymous) 2013-05-29 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
Oh man, I love both their moles, though! I find the little "flaws" on people's faces so charming. See also: Clive Owen's craggy face. Different strokes and all.

People have imperfections?!

[personal profile] cure_light 2013-05-29 12:10 am (UTC)(link)
It's... just a part of his face? I dunno, doesn't seem like that big of a deal to me.

(Anonymous) 2013-05-29 12:44 am (UTC)(link)
I totally get this. I don't mind most moles people have on their faces unless they're raised and then I can't look at anything else. All of my friends are in the Suits fandom and I can't watch the show because the two actors always in the commercials have a bunch of prominent raised moles on their faces. One of them has a lower eyebrow to mole ratio on one side of his face and I honestly can't stand to look at him.

(Anonymous) 2013-05-29 03:03 am (UTC)(link)
I used to have that issue when I was younger, but it's lessened now. I know what you mean, though.

I first notice CB's eye-mole during a re-watch of The Prestige (before TDK came out), but it's not very distracting.

(Anonymous) 2013-05-29 03:34 am (UTC)(link)
Stuff like this tends to only bother me when I see movies on the big screen, like as much as I like seeing cool special effects and sound on the big screen the people are SO BIG it's hard to not inspect every little feature they have.

Like people I normally find attractive tend to become these abstract forms full of moles and warts.

IRL it doesn't bother me, on small tv screens it does not bother me, but in big movie theaters it's all I can look at.

I'm the same with Marion Cotillard's ... thing.

(Anonymous) 2013-05-29 06:31 am (UTC)(link)
He actually had it removed from what I understand OP.
