And to my knowledge they've only genderbent this pairing and Zabuza/Haku (I think bc Haku being an underaged male made them uncomfortable). I'm also fairly sure this artist is either gay or bi from what I know of them. I don't think they're homophobic at all.

So the solution is to make him an underaged female???

I don't think the artist's sexuality means anything, the notion of a gay/bi woman being uncomfortable with m/m slash is completely conceivable.

I think they aged Haku up to an adult female iirc.

I don't think shipping preferences have anything to do with LGBT Queer acceptance anymore than someone's orientation might preclude them from liking slash. But that's just a personal opinion.

Then we're right back to "Why genderbend this character if the problem is supposedly his age", aren't we? Why even bring the point up?

In the same vein, someone's orientation doesn't preclude them from not liking something either. Though taking it to homophobic is a bit far, and not really something original anon brought up.

I think it was so Haku would look and sound the same. But they've done aged up male Haku too so I don't see why the first is a big deal.
