I know what you mean. Keep on as you are! The most important thing is that it makes us happy.

Although the further away I got from anime and manga fandoms, and the less I interacted with 'male dominated' fanspace, the less I found myself running into this attitude. Now what negativity I see ends up being aimed more at fanfic/fanart/shipping, in general.

Sometimes it's a little hilarious when I see a fandom where people are just discovering basic fandom activities though. It's look I've been transported back to 1996 and am watching people stare in wonder and disbelief at the concept of roleplay or something.
