I have never gotten those messages girl gamers claim to get :/ makes me feel kind of bad now. Does my voice sound more like a twelve year old boy or something?

I don't ever get those messages either. It kind of makes me wonder if I have an "ugly-chick" voice.

I get them sometimes, just for having a female avatar (I don't play with headsets). It might depend on the game and the team you're in?

*pats* If you want we can play the same game and I can totally make my voice deep and hit on you inappropriately.

Sidenote: when playing multiplayer, how many people use headsets? Is it weird if you don't?

- Question from someone who's never played online but might be interested.

The splittage between using/not using a headset is about 50/50. They used to come with the console (360) at first, so e'rybody already had them, but then about 2007 (?) ish they dropped that as a pack-in so a lot of people just didn't give a friar tuck.

Feel relieved you play with adults and not harassing little shit for brains.

It's Halo. It's not really famous for mature adults.

Maybe you lucked out or you have a low voice? I don't know. There are chill guy gamers out there, but I haven't had the luck to run into them in the general populace, especially with FPS.
terabient: Anime-styled profile pic that is kinda, sorta like me (Default)

I think it depends on what kind of games you're playing and how approachable you come across. Sometimes when I'm playing co-op games, I'm really talkative and supportive, and when I'm like that I get a lot of unsolicited messages and friend requests. And other times, I'm too tired or preoccupied to bother responding to anything beyond 'yes' or 'no' and I rarely get messages/requests when playing that way.

In my experience you won't get bombarded with messages from dudes just because you're a girl. Guys only send messages if they think you're a 'nice/friendly' gamer girl.
