My dad is Jewish and has European ancestry...he has light skin, dark blond hair and blue eyes, and I don't know anyone who would consider him anything other than white. All of his Jewish/European friends are also considered white here.
Is Turkish really considered Middle Eastern? I've always considered that European as well, but I guess it depends. I know a Turkish guy who has dark hair, dark eyes, and tanned skin, and people usually mistake him for Italian. He doesn't consider himself white (I'm not sure what he *does* consider himself tbh) but everyone we know does.
