Re: social(?) anxiety

At times, and I say this as someone with severe social anxiety who will prefer to let things quietly rot off before they go ask someone "Hey, is this normal?"... you just have to suck it up and do it.

Chances are good that the reason your vision has gotten worse is because your eyes changed, not anything you did. Chances are even better that the eye doctor is not going to ask you if you routinely jab yourself in the cornea with cotton swabs, or anything accusatory like that.

Can you go to Lenscrafters or Walmart's vision center? You're even less likely to be exposed to the disapproving doctor stare in a place like that.

Finally, even if you did do everything wrong, and screwed up your vision, and it's all your fault, the doctor will not blame you for it. All they want to do is get you a pair of eyeglasses or contact lenses that will help you see better. It may be altogether uncomfortable, but you can only benefit from this.

Good luck.
