I like how devoted fans there are there of older stuff(and actually old stuff, from the 80s or older). I'm watching a couple of shows that are 8-10 years old (standalone entries in longer franchises) and seeing other people who are excited about them, posting art/gifs/character discussion etc, makes me happy since it used to feel like I was late to the party while everyone else was in the fandoms for new/ongoing stuff.

Seconded! I got into Buffy and was posting it as I experienced on tumblr and it was nice how the old fans would comment and enjoy it with me (and tease me with things like "oh wait until you see the woods episode you'll love that" you liars!)
