Maaaan I'd love to see an online game where being a girl got kindly flirting as opposed to a deluge of rape threats. As posted on voice threads, I have a very androgynous voice so people mostly assume 12-year-old boy over grown ass woman, but shit, the things I have heard spewed at other female gamers - especially the kind trying to get attention - were pretty appalling.

It all depends on the game, I suppose. In the few game communities I've been in, I haven't seen any of that kind of behavior. And a lot of that is male smack-talk (albeit smack-talk that goes too far from men who don't have any sense of tact.)

If and when you get that, I would suggest dishing it right back, but I'd still report the hell out of the rape-bastards just to give them a lesson.
