Oh don't get me wrong, this has nothing to do with me defending myself or the person this secret was originally for.

But the friend you're probably referring to? I wouldn't make comments like that so likely, because you've no idea what anyone went through during that time unless you were one of us.

And if you are? Then you're a miserable piece of shit for bringing it up like it's no big deal and just lots of fun to fling around.

I made the secret, and I agree with this very much. Even if it was all pretend I miss the person she pretended to be. Just because you can do that stuff on the internet doesn't mean you should.

Unless s/he's transgender, no, I do not see any possible reason why "pretending" (quotation marks in case the former is true) to be a gay boy is "okay."

Everyone looks like they're refusing to tell the story: let it be so, then, and everyone else will judge with what partial information they're given.

The general consensus? "Not okay."

Sorry, I don't mean to be mean, but that's how it's going to be.

exactly. if no one wants to tell the 'real and for TRUFAX story' then people will judge based on the information they have.

I can't imagine a scenario where pretending to be someone you're not then pseuiciding out of it is okay in any situation.

No one ever told anyone the story, Suki. This is the first I've heard of 'he' being a 'she', but the whole fake death thing never sat right with me... I'll admit, I didn't stick around the new Sanzen long enough to find out any reasons... But, I dunno. The death was kinda the kicker after a year full of REAL deaths in my life, so finding out it was a hoax didn't make me want to stick around to figure out the reasoning... at all.

Hate to be a bitch, but it doesn't concern you in the slightest. Even if someone gets their kicks from slandering and spreading around shit to get off, it doesn't concern you, bottom line, even if you're interest has been piqued. It's not your business, and we're not about to just start telling everyone the story like it's some grand old tale for all to see.

There's more to it than just your average "fake death", if I can even call it that. Few people know the full story, but I happen to know. I'm the friend you've been talking about. There's a lot of stuff involved, a lot of emotions. You have NO CLUE what we all went through. You have NO CLUE what HE went through. You have no clue who Riyu really is.

The story isn't for me to tell. But I don't think he deserves to be bashed and badmouthed so badly. There's a fucking person behind the whole thing, no matter what your assumptions are. And spreading those assumptions really isn't the brightest thing to do.

I have left very few comments since this started; I was not involved in talking about Riyu's friends because, obviously, I'm pretty in the dark about all of this. I'm pretty hurt about it, but I haven't got a right to be. I guess I just wanted answers about someone who was someone else.

Yes, I think it was mean that some (including me) were fooled, but I'm sure that everyone had their reasons.

Hurting a number of people is not okay, no matter how bad your own life is.

There has been no bashing or badmouthing. Only the truth. He is a she who faked it all. She made up Riyu, she made up his boyfriend who kept everyone informed when he was dying in the fake hospital, she made up his heart problems, she made up his death. How is that bashing?

just because i didn't personally know them didn't mean that i didn't read their fic, or occasionally watch their journal. and when they died, instead of studying for exams, i typed up a post dedicated to them in my lj; left comments of "oh my god i'm so sorry for your loss" on mutual friends' ljs because they were hurting; genuinely FELT BAD

oh wait, this is the internet. nevermind, i must just be NOSY.
