I don't see what being an English major and a bookworm has to do with it. Being a bookworm doesn't mean you have to like every book. In fact, it's probably more reasonable to expect to dislike some books, even some books that are clasics.

This. There are so many more fascinating books out there than the English classics. Just find books you enjoy and don't waste your time with the rest.

Well, no, I wouldn't really agree with that either. Lots of the classics are really good and cool, and you may like them a whole lot. I guess what I'm saying is that you should approach each book on its individual merits, not like or dislike it because it's a classic. Really, really don't agree with you on this one.

You'd be surprised by how many people think you DO have to like certain books to qualify as a "true" English Major/bookworm. Although in all honesty, I've heard that less about WH and more about Jane Eyre and Jane Austen's work.
