I would probably still loathe Michelle Bachmann even if she had a singing career.

She has deep ties to anti-lgbtq activists and has actively blocked any bills involving "lgbtq tolerance", and has defended homophobic school policies conceived in the mid-90's in her district, even during a two year spree where at least nine kids (some gay, some not) committed suicide as a result of anti-gay bullying. She more or less endorsed the system that was threatening to fire teachers if they attempted to help queer kids/bullying victims or promote tolerance.

She openly attempts to quash pro-gay and pro-choice/women's health legislation, and she still tries to paint HIV and AIDS as gay diseases.

Amanda Palmer wrote a shitty poem, trash talked disabled feminists on tv, and is a generally obnoxious, greedy asshat. But uh, they're still on pretty different tiers of shitty, destructive, actively harmful behavior.

If you want a side of ridiculous with your Michelle Bachmann despicableness, add "hiding in the bushes spying on gay rights rallies" and "being creepily tactile with President Bush".

She also had a funny moment on television where she was trying to describe ties to John Wayne, but was unintentionally referencing John Wayne Gacy, back during her presidential bid.
