Ugh, which fandom? Tbh, most of my fandoms are pretty open with kinks - then again, I have seen a couple of really dark/creepy prompts on the Hannibal kink meme that I've never seen before, so maybe I'm just being idealistic.

ayrt

A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones. There is some really good fic for creepy pairings, but the people who ship those pairings get so much shit from the majority of fandom, they get called disgusting and sick for shipping creepy ships or writing non-con fic etc. Then again it's generally an extremely judgemental fandom.

NA

It's been years since I've read the books, and I haven't ventured near the fandom, but isn't the series chock full of dark and fucked up themes and characters? What on earth does the fandom think it's about, sappy romance and families?

That's what makes it so weird, tbh. It's a really dark series, but the fandom really hates on the people who like the 'dark' characters (while woobifying other equally morally grey characters like the Lannisters).

Yeah, with the canon source being quite dark (and disturbing) it is odd how 'light' the fandom is on the dark and kinky side. The kink meme itself is rather disappointing.
