I grew up with the dubbed movie, so our Jar Jar didn't have the accent. He just mispronounced some words and made up some others.
When I discovered the internet I was shocked to see the many articles on him being racially insensitive. I really loved him as a kid and I still have a soft spot for him.
I even had an action figure of him :(
