I keep trying to get into it and I keep having trouble. I've forced myself through a decent part of the first season but it just doesn't capture my interest at all.

I hate to be "that person" that says this, but the first season is incredibly weak compared to S3. S3 is when the series really hit its stride, and some of the episodes are so good. The S3 finale, in particular, is like, "BAM, that's how you end a season."
