As someone who has been cheated on, I am right there with you. No interest in it, and any romanticization of infidelity just pisses me right off. It's not romantic, it's SHIT. It's selfish and untrue and just shit, and anyone who thinks otherwise is deluding themselves. And no, this isn't bitter old hag talking - my husband and I actually stuck it out, worked it out, did therapy, etc., and we are far better off than we were before. But cheating is just shit, plain and simple.
