I don't mind cheating happening in itself - hell I watch things with death and violence and gore - but it depends entirely on how the narrative treats it.

If the story makes it clear that this character is actually betraying the trust of another and will deal with the consequences? Fine.

The story excuses the cheating because it was OMG TWU WUV or the other person 'drove' them to it or some other shit? Not fucking cool.
