1. In some six or seven years of being in and around fandom I've only met maybe one or two guys who were really otaku, in the original sense, where interacting in the meatspace was almost impossible for them. The rest of the men I've been are really great nerdy/geeky types that had no problems with girls in fandom, even the stranger sides of it. If you haven't gotten to know them, you really should, because you're missing out!

28. I'm glad that you were able to find strength in fandom... why don't they talk more about people like you on the news?

33. This made me want to cry with happiness. Dreams really DO come true!

35. I sense that there is some tension there as well, and it ought to be exploited explored.
