My dad's a huge Tolkien nerd. It was a condition of living in his household that we also read and love the books. One of the first books I remember him reading to me was The Hobbit. He even did the voices. It was awesome.

I can imagine that being awesome, and it's awesome how many people loved that book from childhood on. Proof for Tolkien's magic, I say.
