Up until last night I didn't think I was going to watch, or that I cared at all. But I broke after seeing like 1 GIF.
And actually, it was all pretty fun after the disgusting twin thing (don't know when the thread collapses, just in case there is anyone on the internet who doesn't know about that yet)

I was worried, but i was mostly satisfied. I didn't even mind the twins (although i'm spite-liking them a little because i feel bad everyone keeps calling them ugly when they aren't really)

I don't think the twins are worse than any other genre tv villain, and we haven't even seen them... wow did either of them even have a line??

But that thing where they crawled inside each other and then their pants disappeared and they became one werewolf was one of the dumbest things I've ever seen.

Mostly I am really looking forward to memory wiping plotlines. I got the impression Deucalion did something to Scott after the elevator, which is super creepy and cool.

YEP

it's like Jeff Davis wanted to get the shark jumping done within the first 3 minutes so he could move on to the rest of the season. I CAN THINK OF NO OTHER EXPLANATION.

Was the CGI as horrible as usual? I can't imagine any way that it would look good.

er it was done in silhouette in a dark warehouse, so it could have been worse (though there's no way for one twin punching his way into his brothers bowed back to look good, imho)
The close-up on its face as the seam down the middle closed up was pretty absurd.

It WAS dumb, but it also makes me curious because do they like, share the alpha power or something? idek.

Well maybe the powers will be interesting, I will give you that. Like maybe they only talk in one voice? ;)
If the memory wiping thing is done well it could explain some of the continuity issues around Lydia's storyline last season!

ahahah This is going to be so cheesy and great.

I actually had wished that the alpha pack had been sorta influencing season 2 events without actually being shown (eg if the Alphas had bit Victoria instead of Derek) just to cause mayhem but i doubt they are going to revist that.

That would be really cool, IA. Just any reference to the unresolved plots from S2 would make me so happy.

I thought the twin fusion dance was actually kind of amusing, if terribly, terribly cheesy. But that whole opening was incredibly cheesy (in a kind of fun way). The twins still kind of bug me, but I think that's mostly because TPTB felt the need to shove them down our throats so much in the lead-up to the season and pimp them as The New Hottest Thing.

I actually liked the rest of the opening! it was over the top and cheesy but I felt like it gave me something cool to think about for the rest of the ep.

The twin fusion thing was too WTF for me, but maybe it will somehow make sense in future episodes! I doubt it, but what do I know heh
