It took me a few minutes to figure out why there was a post from the official teenwolf tumblr on my dash because there was no goddamn way I followed that. ugh promoted posts.

Up until last night I didn't think I was going to watch, or that I cared at all. But I broke after seeing like 1 GIF.
And actually, it was all pretty fun after the disgusting twin thing (don't know when the thread collapses, just in case there is anyone on the internet who doesn't know about that yet)

I was worried, but i was mostly satisfied. I didn't even mind the twins (although i'm spite-liking them a little because i feel bad everyone keeps calling them ugly when they aren't really)

I thought the twin fusion dance was actually kind of amusing, if terribly, terribly cheesy. But that whole opening was incredibly cheesy (in a kind of fun way). The twins still kind of bug me, but I think that's mostly because TPTB felt the need to shove them down our throats so much in the lead-up to the season and pimp them as The New Hottest Thing.

It wasn't much of an episode as much as a set up for the entire season. The opening scene was confusing. I was sure I had missed an opening ten minutes that would have made Isaac with that woman scene understandable given how we saw last season end. But, nope.

They really need to graduate the "kids" soon because none of them look like teens any more. Especially Posey. He went from puppy teen to, "Huh, someone doesn't need to be carded any more."

omg the "Freshmen" looks about 30, not 14. Ridiculous.

It was a good start, but i'll admit the opening scene did make me a little confused. We might get more when Isaac is actually awake next ep!

I only watch this show when I'm in the same room as my sister, but I swear all the "high schoolers" on the show look a lot older than me, as a recent college graduate.

Didn't bother to watch it, so a couple of things I'm interested in:

Did they explain Jackson's/Erica's absence beyond "well, they are gone now"?
Did anyone tear Allison a new one over her behavior last season?
Did Lydia tear anyone a new one over keeping her in the dark?
Any mention what happened to the creepy grandpa?
Anyone care that Peter is back from the dead and how?

We kinda get the first one? I think there was too much exposition to deal with the feelings in the rest.

Erica is with Boyd and captured by the Alpha Pack.

Jackson's dad sent him to London, but not until after Derek taught him how to be a real boy werewolf.

Nothing else was really mentioned.

Erica was kidnapped along with Boyd but since her actress left the show I'm guessing that there is really no other option but to kill her off (one of the scenes in the season preview is Stiles and Derek looking at something offscreen with a devastated look on their faces and many people are speculating that it's Erica's body. Of course, that's just random speculation and who the hell knows if it's true or not). With Jackson it was a lot easier to be like "lol he went to london or whatever" but considering Erica's position in the season finale there's just not really a way to pull that off unless they want to say that she somehow escaped the Alphas and fucked off somewhere else...while abandoning Boyd and literally leaving him to the wolves.

It was refreshing to be reminded what the characters were really like. Scott being self-centered and weird. Stiles being ridiculous. Lydia and Allison being...I don't know.

I was really sad that the super badass lady poc character was immediately killed. I should have expected it I guess but still made me really sad to see such a badass capable lady not even get a shot.

YES I've been reading too much fic lately and I was like, well look at all this contridictary information. I enjoyed it, especially Scott trying to be a better person too.

Not the strongest start to a season, but not totally terrible. I was seriously loling at them feeling the need to have the Alpha pack members have their claws out AT ALL TIMES, though. The one that was dressed as a surgery orderly seriously looked like he had press-on nails glued to his gloves.

I was a fan of all the screen time Sheriff Stilinski and Mama McCall got, though. I would like more of that. And no death for either of them. Also more Deaton, please and thank you.

I watched it this morning. I don't even know what to say. It was perfect and awful like all of Teen Wolf is.

I really liked the change in Derek and hope it wasn't just him having a mellow day. Like the last four months have focused and somehow calmed him. Maybe having a pack has been good for him even if it's only Isaac and Peter around.

I think the alpha pack is a dumb idea and the twins were about as dumb as I expected. And I say that with love, because half of my love for this show is because it's just so ridiculous. Seriously, twins morphing into a weird mutant alpha with a seam down the middle? Oh show.

And I nearly injured something rolling my eyes so hard at Scott's speech about his tattoo. That was just some really poor writing. Like hey, Isaac is on a rotting table in pain or something and there's some serious alpha business going on and Erica and Boyd are missing but hey, let's all sit and talk about Scott and Allison and how Scott wants a tattoo!

Loved the Sheriff and Melissa McCall and Mr Argent was perfectly creepy and the cgi was hilarious and Stiles was fun to watch and overall I liked the whole thing and the episode was a pretty good setup for the season.

Oh, and like the anon upthread said, I really hope nameless warrior woman is not dead. There's so much I want to know about her!

I am unironically fond of cgi fauna. I missed the stampede of deers from s1,as well as the inhaler, so the deer thing and cgi birds have me appropriately hyped for oncoming cheese.

Well, I feel kinda bad now for being impressed with all the special effects, haha. But I've always been one of those people who rarely finds CGI out of place. My favorite werewolf ever is still the one in the Van Helsing movie, so that says it all.

Everybody looks so damn good! Loving Scott hardcore right now, just, everything about him and his apparent destiny of greatness, I don't even know. Stiles, baby, keep on keepin' on. Derek desperately needs a shave but apparently has gotten in touch with his caring side. Lydia remains the very epitome of fierce and I like her even more since Jackson bounced. Allison...was present. I'm sad they lost Jackson and Erica, and plus don't seem to have replaced them with anyone cool. Now the home team pack is just three white dudes with over-processed hair. Somebody rescue Boyd, already, goddamnit.

Well, I haven't gotten the chance to watch it yet, but my friend mentioned Scott/Derek feels, so I'm pleased enough with this episode already.

I laughed my ass off through the entire fucking thing. It was so hilarious on so many levels. I loved it. Granted, I may have laughed for the wrong reasons but I can live with that.

I'm actually relieved that we're seeing Scott try to improve himself, particularly in the book smart way. There's far too much "Scott = dumb as a rock" mentality for my liking in fandom. Hopefully this will quiet them down a bit.
