I see a whole bunch of people here got burned because they didn't want to try to improve the way they deal with those the world marginalizes. Yeah, reactionary 'don't use this word' can go too far, but that's part of the process, explosive motion in the opposite direction and eventual settling to a happy medium. Go with the flow, ride above or ahead of it and it will get back to smooth sailing eventually. If you're genuinely ticked that you have to dredge your brain to find some other word to use besides 'lame', I'm sorry for your mental deficit and will do anything I can to help you.
