it's been so many years since ffr was anything but a malicious, pearl-clutching circlejerk that i can't even remember when i liked it anymore

originally i stuck around because apart from some fun posts, there were occasional helpful discussions about writing

but for the past six years, even apart from the SJ wank, it's just been whining about how a single wrong word will pull them out of a fic, and the author and their beta doesn't think it's a big deal D: D: D: D:

along with the way they just exist to eat their own over everything, it kind of creeps me out how thoroughly they document each other

seriously! I wonder how they get ANYTHING done if something so inconsequential as a misspelled or misused word reverts them into spewing, furniture-throwing raging apes.

getting an amen from the choir. there's no sense of community any more. it's all just the members waiting for someone to poke a toe one whit out of line before they descend en masse to devour each other to score cool points with Theo.

seriously!

though the most baffling thing is why they have one or two communities and an anonmeme that all exist to basically bite eachother's heads off and wank about wank, while getting in fights and generating yet more wank (about wank!)

anyway, i haven't checked into ffr for two years, so i'm afraid i don't know if Theo's around or not, but he seemed pretty sparse last i remember so it could be either way
