We need fresh meat because, personally, I have nothing to say secretwise. I wish I did. I would love to have a ton of secrets to spill but I don't. And I hate troll secrets, so, I wouldn't do them.

Well, if you're not personally going to make secrets, you could always stop complaining about people not making secrets. (General you, not you specifically.) Because that's where the annoying part comes in.

Same here; I'm fairly open about my fandom. If I made a secret, I'm fairly certain people here would guess it's me (because it would be about Jpop).

I would make some, Noodles, but I don't understand how. No clue how to use paint or how to make the pretty things that other people make.

I'd love to learn how to do them, I've no idea where to start.

It's fairly straightforward to be honest. Use an art program -- paint will suffice, but you're better off torrenting an old version of Photoshop (I recommend CS2) if you can find one or GIMP which is free but requires that you hate yourself. There's plenty of tutorials on how to use all three, but you'll never really learn if you don't fuck around a bit.

Find a picture that may or may not relate to the subject of your secret. A couple years ago someone posted a secret about murdering someone who didn't like Twilight, and included a picture of a shovel. (pretty sure that's the only one that ever got the "take it to the cops" listing in the failbar)

Slap your text on. Make sure it's readable (Photoshop has a "blending" option that allows you to put borders around your text, I find this helps when you have text going over multiple contrasts.) Make sure the pic is in the appropriate size (below 600x600 pixels) and save it as a jpeg or png. Toss that shit up on imgur and submit!

Alternately you can just upload the picture you want unedited onto imgur, select the "edit" option before you upload, and use the advanced tools the edit page gives you.

Paint.NET is a pretty good one, and it's free. That's what I use.

find a picture smaller than 600 x 600 pixels, copy it

open up ms paint

paste the pictures

click on the toolbar the symbol with letters

make a rectangle somewhere over the picture

save it

go to imgur.com

upload the picture

copy the "direct link/url" code that the site provides you on the right

go to the newest "submission post" you can find on fandom secrets

click "reply"

paste the link

boom done

There have also been a bunch of secrets that were basically just cropped screenshots of text in Notepad. As long as it's smaller than 600 square, anything goes.

I've done my part for next week. I even opted not to care about the typos noticed after everything was merged and saved (because I totally would have given up if I had to rebuild the whole secret just for a dropped "is" and two transposed letters.)

They're all troll secrets, but oh well, them's the breaks. :D

I think I cursed it. I haven't submitted anything for months, and the first week I bust out my photoshop again is the week that submissions drop by 33%.
