Have you ever seen a guy who wasn't particularly girly-looking manage to pull off crossdressing and look/act like a really convincing girl? It seems like the only guys I've ever seen look like a non-mannish/weird-looking girl are ones who are either girly-looking themselves or trans* (with treatments).

Yes. Some of the traits commonly considered "handsome" actually cross pretty well over the genders.

Yes. One of my friends is far from femme, but he knows how to work a wig and makeup to frame his face so that he looks like a young woman (say, 20's). I think he would look amazing as a flapper girl ♥

*cough* I seem to vaguely recall an episode of Boy Meets World where Shawn dressed up as a very convincing girl. I think Cory hit on him too. But he was a teenager, so that might not count...

I totally agree with you. And my first thought was of Jack Lemmon in Some Like it Hot. He wasn't that bad looking for a crossdresser, if you ask me.

But then I also considered Streeter Seidell from CollegeHumor when he does the "Overgrown Guy Girlfriend" skit.

I mean, the only thing Streeter did was toss on a blonde wig and speak in a slightly higher-pitched voice, but his portrayal of an obsessive girlfriend was actually believable, and he can also pull off nylons and a skirt paired with a hoodie really well. I'd never think he was a female, but there's something about his portrayal that makes me ignore/disregard that factor. I don't know. What do you think?
