Re: Epic childhood friendships

I love this trope tooo.

Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai - actually, not about childhood friends staying friends, but growing apart and then becoming friends again. Close enough.
Hey Arnold! - You don't see them grow up but it's implied they'll all stay friends when they do.
Recess - Same as Hey Arnold
Maximum Ride books
The Bee Theres by Lael Littke - This is a super obscure book series about Mormon girls who are childhood friends
The book Epic by Connor Kostick, and its sequel has groups of childhood friends in the main cast
The book Missing Abby by Lee Weatherly is an AMAZING book about childhood friendships... just be prepared to bawl your eyes out as it is not at all a happy ending
Negima! has quite a few examples, if you can tolerate ecchi of underage girls (the anime has much less of it than the manga, if that's an issue)
The anime Strawberry Marshmallow (Ichigo Mashimaro)
W.i.t.c.h.
Digimon
Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha actually shows the childhood friends grow up and continue to be friends
Avatar: The Last Airbender
The comic Bizenghast
Kingdom Hearts
The Baby-Sitters' Club
The manga Pokémon Adventures (Pocket Monsters Special) has AWESOME friendships and a lot of the characters are shown ageing and remaining close friends
Jimmy Neutron
Rugrats

...I think that's about it.
