Re: Epic childhood friendships

The entire Betsy-Tacy-Tib series. It's ten books in all and I've read them so many times that I've had to tape them back together. They are what I think of when I think "ideal friendship." I'm even looking at them on my bookshelf as I type this out.

I'm also a fan of Richard Peck's books: The Teacher's Funeral, A Year Down Yonder, A Long Way from Chicago, and A River Between Us. Apart from the last book--which is about the American Civil War--the rest of his books have a friendly, everyone gets along while getting into wacky, fun situations type of feel to it. I haven't read the books in ages, but, again, I'm looking at The Teacher's Funeral on my shelf as I'm typing. :)
