There were a lot of reasons it closed. Throwing all their chips in on Flash, a dying platform, was one of them. It wasn't just the audience size. The game never even left closed beta. (Except for that one attempt to do so which they took back.)

THAT'S ZILLE YOU IGNORANT--ahem. I mean...I would like to politely inform you that the creature you have labeled "Glitch from the video game Glitch" is not, in fact, named Glitch at all; only the game bears such moniker. I'd link that to "I Am Not Shazam" on TV Tropes, but I'm anon and can't link. And I'm not actually angry, just to make sure we're all clear on that. :)
