Glitch only ended in late 2012, I think a lot of people still remember it

Not many people played it. Hence why it was closed.

There were a lot of reasons it closed. Throwing all their chips in on Flash, a dying platform, was one of them. It wasn't just the audience size. The game never even left closed beta. (Except for that one attempt to do so which they took back.)
