I, on the other hand, think F!S only began to really live when it moved to DW. On lj, it was loaded with trolling, wank, asshole anons, lazy aimless comments, and there were too many people and too many secrets to have any good discussions. Almost all secrets either spawned flamewars if they were controversial or just caused a list of "omg I love X too!" if they weren't.

It was enjoyable enough, but it was in its chrysalis form back then. Well, actually there was a period of a few months on LJ last spring where there were only ever 30-40 secrets per post, which was great. But then LJ changed its comment-thread format and it all went to crap.
