(Anonymous) 2013-06-07 10:15 pm (UTC)(link)What I gather from what you're telling us about his behavior are things that sound similar to the kind of stuff I would do back when an old friend of mine told me that I was gratuitously critical of everything, and it was really annoying.
He had a point, and so I tried to tone it down be a little less condescending towards everything. It wasn't a big deal between us. Although it also sounds like he might just be getting used to things, and is trying to justify his interest in them by labeling them somewhat negatively, in case it turns out that it's embarrassing to like them.
Nonsensical as it is, I've met a lot of people who do that. Especially dudes.
I don't know him or you, though, so I'm sure you'll work it out as long as you explain yourselves to one another and keep open and civil.
