But seriously, it's just so freaking weird that the son of mother effing Grommash Hellscream would think it's a GREAT IDEA to try and master that mysterious dark evil energy to become stronger. Did he fall on his head or something? WHAT HAPPENED?

And then the whole story with Vol'jin. It's just so atypical. No fair fight, just backstabbing in a cave? Remember how furious he was at Grimtotem for denying him to fight Cairne fairly?

The whole Kinect-is-always-on coupled with the reveal that MS was/is a major participant in the whole NSA/PRISM story is pretty creepy, ngl.

I'm really shocked that they're sticking with the 24 hour check-in. That effectively locks out at least a third of current Xbox owners, and even people with reliable broadband connections are going to balk at something as onerous and inconvenient as a daily check-in. There's just so many things that could interfere with the stupid process and turn your console into an expensive DVD player. :(

No, I know and I completely agree, which is why I said sometimes. But morieris was asking for times when I could see that SJW had a point. It shouldn't be the automatic assumption, but there are some people out there that don't like a female character simply because she is female and won't ship characters because they aren't the right color. It's not every fan, it's not even most fans, but it is some (hopefully it's only a few).

It's okay to have lots of feelings about this. I know I do!

The 24 hour check in is just...it's easily the stupidest thing they could have done. Before MS confirmed it, I was sure it was just an outlandish rumor. A persistent broadband connection is a significant hurdle for a sizable amount of current-gen users and...well...people in general. It shrinks their potential user base by millions before they even hit the market. Any potential gains they hope to make by deterring piracy will be completely wiped out by lost users who can't meet the internet requirements.

And even if you do have access to reliable broadband, the whole idea of MS checking in on their users daily to make sure they're accessing video games 'properly' is patronizing as fuck, especially when those users are paying a yearly fee to access Live in the first place.

The 24 hour thing kills me because they say you can watch a DVD, Blu-Ray or TV without checking in, but this is a gaming console. You can't access the single most important function of the console unless you connect to the net.

IKR?! I can't remember where I heard it but someone made an analogy of MS' approach with the Xbox One; it's like they're trying to sell you an ice cream sundae by describing the cherry on top. Nobody buys a sundae for the cherry.

Case splits the secrets up in a roughly even fashion throughout a week- if there's only 8 or 9 one day, there will be only 8 or 9 for several days running. Don't start worrying about it until it starts happening for several consecutive weeks.

My advice is dig the music, get into the videos, find a fandom friend who either likes it already or you can easily entice them to get into it, then snark the fandom at large with them.

You don't want to get involved too deep. It's a fandom that skews very young and very bizarre. Tinhatting was the least of the craycray in the fandom, I found.
