Whereas I was one of those kids who was too cool to read something that ~popular. Then again, it meant that I could read through all seven straight through, no waiting. I think the first one came out the summer I turned 14.

the popularity probably put me off it too, I can't lie :P But yeah I also got to read them all back-to-back, since I started reading just before (or after, don't remember) the last book was released.
