Re: inspired by secret 07
I interpret the phrase "be-all end-all" to suggest that this one writer is glorified by other members of the fandom. I won't say that the writer is praised to the extent of glorification, but I find her writing to be overrated. Most of her readers consider her sparse style to be poetic, but I find it forgettable. This writer is really prolific and has spent a considerable number of years participating in fandom. While I really respect her experience and productivity, her fics are pretty standard in terms of atmosphere.
Nonetheless, this writer is undeniably excellent in making graphics, to the point that her artworks are intimidating to beginners (in a good way). Sometimes I wish her writing is as intimidatingly good as her graphics, especially since she's one of the few fanfic writers who specializes in femslash.
