now that you mention Hannibal, I actually agree. Will's careening over the edge at a much faster pace these days, and they aren't being as attentive to minor characters as they were at the start. That's why you shouldn't wait so late to make decisions about renewals, especially for these teeny tiny series! Grr...

I think the fandom as a whole agrees that Ragnar becoming Earl is about where the show went off the tracks, and the pacing and characterization just got worse with each passing episode. I really hope they can straighten it out next season. They have a loyal fanbase, they need to get back to making a show that makes emotional sense.

Floki remained flawless through the end of the season, no doubt about that!

Yeah. Part of me can be okay with Will's going over the edge, though. He's seriously ill beyond just the slightly-off-asperger's-and-empathy-magic thing and nobody is actually helping him (though I'm hoping now that he's in the hospital, that can start to get medically straightened out) and some people (cough-cough-Hannibal-cough) are actively prodding him to see how he'll tick. I mean, I've had some minor issues with neurological shit and it freaks me out. I can only imagine what it would be like in Will's shoes so honestly...that makes sense to me. Because there's a physical problem making his psychological issues with putting himself in the shoes of murderers even worse.

And that reminds me I wanted to ramble on about Hannibal on tumblr or something to get some various meta-thoughts out of my head. Woo. :)

And yeah, Ragnar becoming Earl is where it started to get really...odd.

He had me from the moment he showed up, to be honest...but then...I've always been fond of that character type.
