Except story-wise it really wasn't anything spectacular. It was kind of predictable and more could have been done with Pitch. I will say it was good, but not great.

Plot-wise, it was so-so. Character-wise is where it shined. My favorite part was when all of them were working together to collect teeth. It had the best jokes and the best interaction. And I like Pitch but he was underused. (Which is a damn shame given Jude Law's magnificent voice. If there is a sequel, which, c'mon, there will be, I hope it has a stronger plot. Maybe borrow a bit more from the books which is almost nothing like the movie.

It was okay. I'm glad I didn't pay to see it in theaters. I got it from the library.

No dude, I've got to agree with that sentiment. The funny parts were really great, but the dramatic parts? Eeehhhhhhhh. I really wanted to like it, but it was pretty solidly meh for me.

But then I wasn't enamoured with Rapunzel either.

sorry but it really wasn't. the animation was great and some of the designs were fantastic but plot and character-wise it failed pretty hard.

Out of all four of them I'd say Tangled was the worst. RotG and Brave had their problems but they were entertaining for me, Tangled was a big pile of 'meh.'

I disagree.

I rate them as such:

HTTYD > Brave > Tangled (which i adore)> RotG

But, different strokes and all that.

Rapunzel wasn't good either.
And it was just made to have yet another white, blonde princess for the toy franchise. At least RotG was visually pleasing, Rapunzel only had the hair and the one scene with the glowy stuff. Everything else was "let's steal that one guy and the horse from Road to El Dorado and something about women who want to be beautiful forver".
